CUSTOMER BILLING UPDATE
Dear Water District customer, you may have noticed
an increased bill in January. Below is a short explanation:
The water rates increased to $12.21 per month for up to the first
500 gallons of water use and then $3.55 per thousand gallons of
water after the first 500 gallons.
Included on your January water bill is a State of Missouri Water
Primacy Fee (usually $2.76 for most customers). This State fee is
charged annually and will not be on your bill again until January
2011. This is collected from the customer and forwarded directly
to the State of Missouri, Department of Natural Resources.
Due to the recent severe cold weather there may be some additional
days of water and sewer use on the January billing cycle.
The sewer rates increased to $36.02 per month for the first 1.000
gallons of usage (residential winter average) and $3.21 per thousand
gallons after the first 1,000 gallons of use.
Also, Included on your sewer bill is State of Missouri Sewer Fee
(usually $0.70 for most customers). This State fee is charged annually
and will not be on your bill again until January 2011. This is collected
from the customer and forwarded directly to the State of Missouri,
Department of Natural Resources.
